Playgroup Placement is an assessment and playtime appointment for your pup designed to introduce them and you to our new play space. It also allows us to evaluate your pups behavior, current socialization habits and temperament while they play with us for the day.
To schedule an appointment, please fill out the 'Contact' form, email us at info@AllaboutthePup.com or call 508-726-1742.
At All about the Pup we separate dogs based on age, size, and temperament. Puppies aged 12 weeks – 9 months spend the day playing in our puppy pen, or open-pack lounge, going for short walks outside, napping, and having lunch in a luxury suite. To help with house-training young pups, your dog will be walked during the day and rest in a quiet suite for short periods when not playing with his or her friends. Please feel free to bring a lunch or dinner for your pup in pre-portioned feeding bags and include feeding instructions.
We welcome dogs of all temperaments and activity levels, and we will work with your dog to help him or her adjust to the daycare setting. We require that all dogs aged 1 year and up are spayed/neutered, as these dogs tend to adjust better to a group environment.
We require all dogs to be up-to-date on their rabies, distemper, and bordatella (kennel cough) vaccines. We also recommend the canine influenza vaccine, but it is not required. We recommend that all dogs use a flea-and parasite-control product, but please do not apply these products on the day your dog attends daycare. We will ask for a copy of your dog’s vaccination records along with a recent negative fecal test (3 mo. or less) at your playgroup placement appointment.
Your dog’s health and safety at our daycare is most important to us. In the course of playtime, minor injuries may occur. However, we do not allow aggressive horseplay. In the event that your dog becomes sick or injured during the day, our staff will assist him or her immediately to ensure his or her safety. We will then contact you, or your emergency contact, to alert you of the situation. All staff is pet CPR & First-aid certified.
*PLEASE NOTE: If your dog is sick; whether it be coughing, sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea, please do not bring them in to daycare. Also, if your dog has any of these symptoms while at daycare, we will call you to pick them up. We do everything we can to reduce illnesses transferred between dogs in our daycare and boarding. ~ Thank you
At All about the Pup, our pack is made up of many different types of dogs. The majority of dogs that come to daycare are playful, happy, and friendly. We also welcome shy or nervous dogs and they are given a chance to adjust to our environment. Our trained staff will be able to determine if your dog will be a happy member of our group.
We do not allow aggressive or dangerous dogs. We do not allow aggressive play, barking, or dominant behavior, and our staff uses positive reinforcement techniques to maintain a calm energy in the group.
Additional Information We request that your dog come to daycare on leash with a collar or harness, and ID tags. This will allow us to easily bring your dog in and out of the daycare.
All about the Pup is an indoor-outdoor facility; your dog will have the freedom to play inside and outside throughout the year. During inclement weather, we encourage our clients to provide coats for their dogs so the dogs may enjoy the outdoors in all types of weather.
If your dog requires feeding during the day, please bring the food pre-portioned in baggies labeled with your dog’s name and feeding instructions.
We are also able to administer most medications throughout the day. Please call us with any questions.
